Resumen
This research aims to reduce operational costs in a balanced food factory by implementing improvements in production processes using quality management tools. To achieve this, a diagnostic assessment of the company's current situation was conducted across its key areas. Statistical tests included the Ishikawa diagram, Indicator Matrix, Pareto diagram, histograms, and control charts. Additionally, the Process Operations Diagram (DOP), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Six Sigma, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) were applied, all developed using Minitab software. The production area was identified as the most critical due to the high number of defective products, leading to significant losses in raw materials and finished products. The primary issue is the lack of preventive maintenance on the machinery, which affects efficiency and quality. Implementing quality management tools will optimize processes, reduce defects and costs, and improve production reliability and profitability. Finally, based on the analyzed and collected information, as well as the diagnostic assessment, a detailed analysis of the results was conducted to validate the evidence with quantitative data. This analysis evaluates the effectiveness of the improvement proposal in the production area and its impact on the company's profitability. The financial results indicate a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/. 5,094.93 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 32.34%, confirming the feasibility and economic benefit of the proposal.
