Resumen

The present research aims to implement improvements in the production processes, for the reduction of operational costs of a brick factory. By design this research is diagnostic and propositive based on formal and accurate science. First, an in-depth diagnosis of the areas of the company was made, using the Ishikawa diagram. Among the main causes evaluated that generate large economic losses we have: lack of training due to deficiency in the realization of the processes, lack of maintenance of the machines, lack of an adequate requirement of materials, lack of standard times. The engineering methodologies implemented in this research are: Quality House (QFD), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), DMAIC six sigma. These will allow us to improve the operational process of the company, ensure that the product is manufactured in an improved way with respect to the customer's requirements, avoiding failures, defects and its high costs of the brick factory. The results of the engineering methodologies were: Improvement of the operator in the realization of the process, improvements in the maintenance of machines, plan of material requirement, standard times, in which he estimated a comparison of the current losses of S/.33, .542.28 to an S/.224, 816.04 of losses improvements. Likewise, the economic/financial evaluation of the improvement proposal was made, obtaining a positive VAN equal to S/.124, 185.43, with an TIR of 50.09%, recovering the total investment in 4.4 years and a B/C of S/1.50, meaning that the proposal is viable.
