Pari-Romero P.; Mendoza-Castillo K.; Flores-Perez A. · 2022 Congreso Internacional de Innovacion y Tendencias en Ingenieria, CONIITI 2022 - Conference Proceedings (2022) · DOI: 10.1109/coniiti57704.2022.9953722

Resumen

The textile apparel industry must be aware of the current situation of the system, respond quickly to changes in different types of orders, must comply with providing product quality and process orders on time, otherwise, it will generate a competitive disadvantage in the market. For this, all the information was collected from the sewing area where it was found that the efficiency of the sewing area is 77.80% and in comparison to another company in the sector, the efficiency is 87.33%. It was determined that the main causes are the poor distribution of the line load and non-standardized procedures. It is desired to increase efficiency by 10 to 12%. This article describes how Lean Manufacturing tools were applied in a Peruvian textile company, whose objective is to reduce production times and quantity of non-conforming products in the sewing area. With the use of the 5's tools, standardized work and line balancing, it was possible to reduce times and nonconforming products, allowing an increase of 11% in the efficiency of the production line. These results were validated by means of the Arena simulator where the data of the current and improved process were checked and validated, obtaining an improvement in the study process. It is concluded that the proposed model is a powerful tool for the textile sector to achieve continuous process improvement.
