Resumen
Considering the Paris Agreement by the UN, the carbon credits generated by the reforestation of Mirador Cerro Piñujo were determined, this was possible through the application of the Allometric equations and Strand and quadrant techniques, as well as national and international experiences; the samples correspond to the study population, that is 22 Patula Pine trees planted in 2015 and 2019 and Radiata Pine from 2005, as well as 44 Patula Pine trees planted in 2018 and 9 Cypress trees from 2005.Resulting that this reforestation captures per year 5113.71 tons of CO2, which valued at 50 US dollars per ton per year in the world market], resulted in 255.667.50 US dollars, demonstrating a great economic opportunity for the district municipality of Huarmaca, owner of this reforestation, the same that can achieve by these revenues double in the coming years according to economic trends in the world market and having the said municipality vast tracts of land, should continue with reforestation and use them for these purposes and at the same time to contribute against climate change and sustainable development of its people.
