Application of a Technological Model for the Automated Verification of Vehicle Documents through Computer Vision in the City of Huancayo

Tutaya R.G.Q.; Gaspar G.Y.A.; Franco C.J.R. · ICTLE 2025 - 2025 13th International Conference on Traffic and Logistic Engineering (2025) · DOI: 10.1109/ictle67020.2025.11203620

Resumen

This study proposes a technological model based on computer vision for the automated verification of vehicle documents in the city of Huancayo. Through optical character recognition (OCR) and deep learning algorithms, the system enables real-time detection of irregularities in driver's licenses, vehicle insurance, and technical inspection certificates. This model aims to optimize vehicle inspections, reduce fraud, and enhance road safety. Additionally, a mobile notification system alerts drivers of documentation issues, encouraging proactive compliance. The expected outcomes include increased efficiency in vehicle control processes, reduced operational costs, and a decrease in the number of vehicles with expired or fraudulent documentation.
