Resumen

The objective of the research was to analyze water quality in order to propose a municipal cleaning and disinfection program for human use and consumption in water supply wells in the District of Santiago de Chuco, 2020. The research was descriptive, with a non-experimental design. The research results of Esquivel and Murga and information from DATASS were used as a sample. The results were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program, applying an analysis of variance and multiple contrast of means, obtaining significant differences in conductivity, total solids and total hardness; the opposite was the case for turbidity, pH, sulfates, chlorides, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, carbonate, bicarbonate, potassium, sodium, number of coliforms and heterotrophic bacteria. In addition, in the results collected from the DATASS it was obtained that most of the Populated Centers (CP) have a normal supply system, while in four CP their waters have a medium chlorination system; and only two have an acceptable cleaning and disinfection. Therefore, a cleaning and disinfection program was proposed to improve the quality of water for use and consumption of the inhabitants. Finally, a web portal with educational content was created to raise awareness among the population.
