Sucasaca-Villavicencio M.A.; Mujica A.C.; Ramirez Banda I.C.; Garcia K. · International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering Technology, CCET (2024) · DOI: 10.1109/ccet62233.2024.10837772

Resumen

In the last five years, the arrival of the Netflix company in Spain, at the beginning of 2015, was the beginning of several positive and negative changes in the audiovisual and television industry. For this reason, this work aims to collect and analyze the articles in the Scopus database using keywords from the following research question: What is the impact of Netflix digital platform consumption during the last 5 years in Spain? For the search criteria, we used open-access filters and gathered information about Spain between 2017 and 2022. The PRISMA methodology was used to find articles related to the research question, obtaining 11 articles in total. The articles were divided into five categories related to the Netflix platform: development, climax and plots, content strategy in social networks, audience consumption, and audiovisual impact. After researching and analyzing the articles, it has been determined that Netflix's entry into the Spanish market has resulted in numerous benefits, including agreements with national companies.
