Resumen

The purpose of the research was to analyze the behavior of low permeability concrete with compressive strength f'c = 175 kg/cm2, 210 kg/cm2, 245 kg/cm2 and 280 kg/cm2 under high water pressure. During the development of the research, 56 specimens were prepared at the age of 28 days, mainly for tests of compressive strength, indirect tensile strength and water penetration depth at a pressure of 50 m.c.a. (meters of water column), according to the European standard UNE-EN-12390-08. Subsequently, through the analysis it was determined that the properties of concrete such as: slump, fresh unit weight, dry unit weight, compressive strength, indirect tensile strength, porosity, absorption, water penetration in the concrete. These last two values are necessary to determine the permeability coefficient using the VALENTA equation. Finally, concluding that concrete with a design of 210kg/cm2 is the most adequate for hydraulic construction, since it favors economic savings and avoids damage to society.
