Resumen
In rural areas of Peru, access to electricity is a constant challenge, as they depend on traditional energy sources that are polluting, often costly and unreliable. The general objective is to determine the relationship between the production of electricity through ornamental plants and entrepreneurship in education. The specific objectives are to identify the distinctive characteristics of plants that facilitate energy generation, determine the most efficient process for generating electricity from plants and understand the impact on entrepreneurship, education and the environment. A mixed approach with a non-experimental design is used. The study corresponds to descriptive research based on an exhaustive bibliographic review, identifying the ornamental plant species with the greatest photosynthetic capacity and potential for electricity generation, adaptability to the environment and local availability, installation of plant fuel cells and measurement of the energy generated. Species such as Geranium (Geranium), Corn (Zea mays), Fitonia (Fittonia) and Corazon de Jesus (Caladium bicolor) were selected. The results showed that the various systems used with similar methods can generate different levels of energy depending on the plant species and the materials are selected for their ability to conduct electricity and their compatibility with the root environment. The analysis concludes that it is possible to obtain electrical energy from ornamental plants through these bioelectrochemical systems and that they can be used to power low consumption devices, such as environmental sensors and LED lights, all to understand the social and environmental impacts ofbioelectricity, including its potential for innovation or entrepreneurship in education, enabling local development and environmental protection.
