Resumen
Astronaut training is a critical aspect of space exploration programs, ensuring that astronauts are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake missions in space. This article analyses various training methods and techniques used in preparing astronauts for their missions. Drawing on research literature and case studies, the article examines the evolution of astronaut training from its inception to the present, highlighting critical advances and innovations. Explore the diverse training modalities, including simulations, virtual reality, underwater traimng, centrifuge traimng and classroom learning. Additionally, the work discusses specific skills and competencies sought during astronaut training, such as extravehicular activity (EVA) skills, spacecraft operations, team dynamics, and emergency procedures. Additionally, it evaluates the effectiveness of different traimng approaches to simulate the challenges and rigours of space missions, considering factors such as realism, safety, cost-effectiveness, and skill transferability. By providing a comprehensive analysis of astronaut training methods, this research arms to inform future traimng programs and contribute to the continued improvement of astronaut readiness for space exploration efforts.
