Algebra-Based Analysis of Crude Oil Price in a 50 Years Data

Nieto-Chaupis H. · International Conference on Electrical, Computer, and Energy Technologies, ICECET 2025 (2025) · DOI: 10.1109/icecet63943.2025.11471906

Resumen

Repeated patterns in big data might be interpreted as the inherent response to a kind of underlying algebraic rules that are not directly visible, but that can be extracted from the application of commutation as well as non commutation operations of abstract operators. This paper, explains the morphology of crude oil price in the last 50 years, through the usage of algebra of operators that model the price behavior. To accomplish this, truncated seres of polynomials have been tested. It was found that would exist up to two well-defined periods of approximately 25 years and a permanent noise modeled by a sinusoid function.
