Agile methodologies and emerging technologies for knowledge management in remote work

Infante Rivera L.J.; Ramos Piñas D.; Vasquez Guerrero de Mendiola R.L.; Lavado Puente C.S. · Revista de Ciencias Sociales (2026) · DOI: 10.31876/rcs.v32i2.45591

Resumen

This research focused on analyzing the integration of agile methodologies with emerging technologies to optimize knowledge management in remote work contexts. A systematic bibliometric analysis of 104 documents from the Scopus database (2020-2026) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 protocol and using VOSviewer software. This revealed an emerging but fragmented scientific output, with 847 initial records filtered. The main findings confirm a structural dispersion validated by a starred academic network (central Kristensen node). The exponential trend post-2023 (1.4 articles/month) and the 9% growth in Latin America underscore contextual relevance. It is concluded that the agile-technology synergy is imperative to overcome the loss of tacit knowledge and fragmented communication, transforming remote limitations into competitive advantages through quantifiable KPIs (velocity >80%, reuse >70%), especially through low-code and GovTech tools in distributed economies post-2026. © Licencia de Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es
