Resumen
The rising morbidity and mortality from occupational risks in recent years has highlighted the need to appropriately assess work disability due to workplace accidents or occupational diseases. For its measurement, the model established by the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) must be considered, which evaluates physical or mental impairments, work role, and participation role. Peru lacked a regulatory document governing this procedure until the Ministry of Health developed Technical Health Standard N.o 220-MINSA/DIGIESP-2024. This standard establishes the evaluation, qualification, and certification procedure for work disability due to workplace accidents or occupational diseases for workers insured under the Complementary Occupational Risk Work Insurance (SCTR). This document establishes a clear and effective procedure for the evaluation, qualification, and certification of work incapacity.
