Resumen
This study shows the adoption of lean and green manufacturing practices aims to create a sustainable environment by reducing waste and improving environmental performance. Likewise, Lean Green and sustainability help companies spend less energy and materials, reduce harmful waste through reuse and recycling, and prevent pollution at source. These principles have been applied in various industries, including the manufacturing industry, with positive results in terms of quality improvement, reduced delivery times and reduced costs. This research aims to enhance lead time in a metalworking company by analyzing and implementing Lean Green methodology, sustainability, and Lean Manufacturing, using A3-5S, JIT-Kanban, and process standardization. Furthermore, the benefits of lean practices such as 5S, Kanban, JIT and quality control on green performance are widely demonstrated; the use of renewable energy and metals had a reduction of approximately 58.29%, proving that Lean Green Manufacturing tools can create sustainable production; achieving Cycle Time improvement by integrating Lean Green Manufacturing in a metalworking company manufacturing grill.
