Administrative management and work stress in workers of Peruvian companies

Resumen

Administrative management is key to reducing work-related stress linked to the administrative system and the equitable distribution of tasks. The purpose was to determine the relationship between administrative management and work-related stress among workers in Metropolitan Lima, Peru. While psychological studies link work-related stress with job climate and satisfaction, the present study sought to link it to administrative management, when inadequate within a company becomes the generator of a negative work environment that causes workers to become physically and mentally ill due to their inability to adapt or find a solution. To understand administrative management, a survey was conducted to understand the perceptions of 563 workers in Metropolitan Lima, Peru, and to determine whether one or more administrative functions are not being adequately performed. Studies on work-related stress and its causes in companies were also reviewed to identify similarities regarding their relationship with inadequate administrative management. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between administrative management and work-related stress, which is associated with the coordination and control processes established by higherlevel bodies for administrative and financial oversight and monitoring. © (2025), (Universidad del Zulia).
