Resumen
Masonry is the most used construction technique in buildings, with one of the most frequent failures being the lack of adherence between its units. Therefore, this research evaluated the influence of adding lime or gray interior adhesive on the adherence of the mortar. The objective of this investigation was to determine how much these materials influence the adherence property between mortar and brick, in an economical way with significant (Integral) improvement in the Cajamarca region or under similar conditions. For this purpose, adherence tests were conducted on mortar with a 1:4 ratio of cement and sand, adding different proportions (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4) of lime or interior adhesive, creating 4 stacks of three units for each experiment, with a total of 90 stacks. The results indicated that both additions provided more adherence in all samples compared to the standard sample, with the 3/4 lime sample improving by more than 90.68% compared to the standard sample, and the maximum improvement for the adhesive was in the 1/8 interior adhesive sample with 45.57%. These findings suggested that adding lime or interior adhesive could be an effective strategy to enhance the adherence property in semi-industrial masonry mortars with a 1:4 ratio, with lime being the most effective addition.
