Resumen
This chapter aimed to examine the acute psychophysiological, locomotor, and mechanical responses encountered by team sport athletes to varied conditioned games task constraints. The introduction section explains the importance of understanding conditioned game demands so that players can face competition under optimal conditions. As for example, this knowledge can inform athlete preparation and management at acute feedback, in-session adjustment, planning day-to-day, periodizing the season, and managing athletes with a long-term view. The following sections conduct a narrative review, including the principal findings and available data on training demands when coaches manipulate task constraints. The variability within and between players is also briefly explored. To summarize the chapter, the conclusions and practical applications section was presented, as well as the future research lines on this field.
