Access to technological resources and academic performance in times of pandemic and compulsory social isolation

Casas-Huamanta E. · Revista Cientifica de Sistemas e Informatica (2022) · DOI: 10.51252/rcsi.v2i1.296

Resumen

The objective was to determine the relationship between academic performance and access to technological resources of students of the National Autonomous University of Alto Amazonas in times of pandemic caused by COVID 19. We had a sample of 434 students who studied in the 2020 semester-II and who enrolled in the 2021-I semester. We applied a questionnaire to know the access to technological resources and we obtained the weighted average of the reports from the academic management system. We carry out basic, correlational and non-experimental research. The result is that there is no a relationship between the weighted averages of students with access to their own technological resources. We conclude that having equipment, access to connectivity and good quality of connectivity does not guarantee that the student's average improves or decreases. © Los autores.
