Resumen
The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between academic procrastination and personality dimensions in electronic and computer engineering students from a state university in Peru. It has a non-experimental design of a cross-sectional type and a correlational scope. With a sample of 197 students. The instruments used were the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) and the Personality Scale (EPQR) with Cronbach's alpha reliability of.906 and.990 respectively, which justifies their application. The following results were obtained: an inverse correlation was found between academic procrastination with the extraversion, neuroticism, and psychoticism components of personality (p < .001), that is, the greater the prevalence of these traits, the lower the academic procrastination or vice versa. However, a direct and significant correlation was found between psychoticism and the activity postponement dimension of academic procrastination (r = .706, p < .001).
