Resumen
The aim of this study was to analyze the extent to which perceived specific self-efficacy in academic situations is explained by family violence and depression in adolescents from the city of Trujillo. A non-experimental, transactional and explanatory design was used. The sample consisted of 336 adolescents. The results indicated that the coefficient of determination R2 was 0.29, suggesting that 29.9% of the variability of self-efficacy can be explained by family violence and depression. The model presented an RMSE of 5.91 and an AIC of 215. In addition, the overall test of the model yielded an F-statistic of 15.3 (gl1 = 2; gl2 = 333) and a significance level of p < 0.001, confirming that the regression model is statistically significant. It is concluded that both variables explain self-efficacy, being their effect stronger when presented together, highlighting the need to implement psychoeducational programs within the school setting, in order to mitigate the emotional impact of violence and promote the psychological well-being of adolescents.
