Resumen
Developing efficient thermal systems with low or zero emissions requires innovative high-performance technologies. Herein lies the emergence of enhanced heat transfer fluids, including graphene oxide (GO) aqueous suspensions, which offer interesting physicochemical properties and so present a potential alternative in this field. First, general features, synthesis paths, preparation methods, characterization techniques of GO are introduced. Research on the thermophysical properties of aqueous graphene oxide suspensions, such as thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity, is summarized. Some results of the heat transfer and pressure drop performance of these GO aqueous suspensions under different conditions studied in the literature were listed. Potential applications of aqueous graphene oxide suspensions are also indicated. Finally, thoughts regarding recent and upcoming research on this subject are mentioned.
