Resumen
Building nano-scale cementitious composites is made possible by the advancement of nano-materials, which is a priceless opportunity. One of the most important classifications of engineered nano-materials is that they are divided into three types: zero-dimensional nanoparticles, one-dimensional nano-fibers, and two-dimensional nano-sheets. Nanoparticles and 1D nano-fibers, such as nano-silica and carbon nanotubes (CNTs), have been used in a variety of applications, according to the published literature. Only a small amount of attention has been paid to the discovery of graphene oxide (GO), a 2D nano-sheet that adds a new dimension to the interaction with cement and concrete matrix. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of recent research efforts in the creation of cement and concrete nano-composites. It is also discussed the impact of low-dose nanomaterial incorporation on the construction.
