Resumen
Data traceability in the healthcare sector is essential for improving the quality and continuity of medical care. The purpose of this review is to identify methodologies and applications that optimize the tracking of clinical information to improve the quality and continuity of medical care. Methodology: This study was based on an analysis of 84 studies selected from databases such as PubMed and Scopus through October 2025. Key technologies focused on the use of blockchain, interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR, and integrated mobile solutions. Results: The incorporation of emerging technologies has highlighted the need to increase the accuracy of and access to patient information, reduce administrative errors, and facilitate clinical decision-making. However, challenges such as security, resistance to change, and the lack of universal standards persist. Conclusions: The effective implementation of applications and methodologies for data traceability in the healthcare sector depends on a collaborative approach among developers, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies. This will enable greater interoperability, resource optimization, and trust in the systems, benefiting both patients and professionals.
