Resumen
High-capacity computing infrastructure is essential for the academic development of students. This research aimed to demonstrate the improvement in significant learning of students at the Private University of Tacna through remote access to laboratories through virtual private networks (VPNs). A virtual laboratory environment was implemented that allowed students to access hardware and software resources equivalent to those available in physical laboratories, significantly improving the quality of practical activities. The methodology followed a basic, non-experimental research design, using validated questionnaires and inferential statistical analysis with SPSS. The results demonstrated an improvement of 74.42% in global meaningful learning, with specific advances in the cognitive (58.14%), procedural (62.79%) and attitudinal (65.12%) dimensions. These improvements included the promotion of self-learning, understanding of complex topics, and a positive attitude towards the teaching-learning process. It is concluded that remote access to virtualized laboratories represents an effective and scalable solution to improve meaningful learning in academic institutions, optimizing available technological resources and ensuring the continuity of quality education, even in distance teaching contexts.
