02-029-Torsionable and compressible flexomatrices as polyfunctional masonryfor natural lighting towards a sustainable architecture

Vera Barrios B.S.; Pino Vargas E.M.; Del Carpio Delgado F. · Proceedings from the International Congress on Project Management and Engineering (2025)

Resumen

The present invention is a brick prototype made of a rigid flexo-torsional matrix articulated by the edges in dynamic torsion, which allows the construction of parapets, floors and infill partitions by coupling these prototypes with others through the gearing of the ends of ribs on the lateral faces and by their coupling with zippers along their elastic-elongable edges, thus reducing energy expenditure because no glue is needed. The self-regulating torsion effect is achieved by rotating the central flexo-torsional axis at various angles (0° to 23°) and at different times, using the hands or halyards, in this way the input, concentration and intensity are graduated. of natural light to a living space, as well as the passage of ventilation. The prototype includes a container, which can be used with or without filling, which allows it to be presented from semi-translucent to completely opaque, which is also adjustable at will. Being compressible in the longitudinal sense, it allows units to be replaced with others without fracturing them, since it does not use concrete for its manufacture, better resisting oscillatory and trepidatious seismic events, as it has an elastic and light structure.
